Still Life
Still life. Still dark, dark as a new moon, and having lived before
Still here. But in the shadows of these thoughts I know that here is gone.
I am still gone.
In a paper cage and stretched across the angry racks of success; laid out for all to see; told to be glad for all they’ve given me (as useless as I'm finding it).
Parodies of paradoxes - O Clouded Logic close my eyes:
A desert cannot run dry.
Still dark. Still damp. Dampening spirits as they go.
Still out. Out of my mind, but not out of their reach.
Still life.

Still dark. Still damp. Dampening spirits as they go.
Still out. Out of my mind, but not out of their reach.
Still life.
