you remind me of home

Somehow at 3 in the morning it becomes magically possible to coax me into writing random drabbles with odd pairings.

sinuous_curve: But GERARD/PATRICK. They are practically perfect!
mandy_croyance: I know!
mandy_croyance: how wonderfully random!
sinuous_curve: It's so precious.
sinuous_curve: They would be the shyest couple ever.
mandy_croyance: I know!
mandy_croyance: until you put them on stage....
sinuous_curve: Man, now I want to read it.
sinuous_curve: YES. Then they would be the best diva pair ever.
sinuous_curve: Patrick would pop his foot. Gee would get on the amp
mandy_croyance: this sounds like awesome.
sinuous_curve: He's such a damn diva. I love it.
mandy_croyance: indeed. And he'd try to grope Patrick on stage, which, hey, he has experience with that sort of thing with Pete but he's almost got Pete trained (kind of. Okay maybe not but he tries). But Gerard's hand is curled around his hip where his shirt rides up, and Gerard's fingers are freezing but Patrick doesn't think that's what's making him shiver all down his spine.
sinuous_curve: MEEP. YES.
sinuous_curve: You should write this.
mandy_croyance: um, except me writing MCR/FOB fic... okay, has technically already happened but that was a crackfic au and totally does not count
sinuous_curve: *puppy eyes*
sinuous_curve: Just a wee ficlet?
sinuous_curve: A drabble?
mandy_croyance: My knowledge of FOB and MCR is woefully inadequate
mandy_croyance: well, not good enough for me to write them at least
sinuous_curve: But it's just a stage performance!
sinuous_curve: *bats eyelashes*
sinuous_curve: A little groping onstage at some theoretical performance!
mandy_croyance: *pouts*
sinuous_curve: :D
mandy_croyance: It's not the first time they share a stage. They toured together once upon a time, but it's different now; everything's been different since Gerard took his hand that afternoon in the coffee shop when Gerard had been in town and called him maybe out of the blue (but maybe not. It hadn't felt that way, not to Patrick).
And now, well, they're dating. Technically. Patrick knows that's what the kids are calling it these days but it feels more organic than that, natural to have Gerard at his side in a way it shouldn't be with how little time they actually get to be together.
So this show? This show is nice. Great. Spectacular, really. An excuse to be in the same place for more than a few hours (layovers have become his best friend).

mandy_croyance: and please to be remembering I know NOTHING about these guys so yeah. Canonical it is not
sinuous_curve: I am totally okay with that.
mandy_croyance: Over toward stage-left, Pete's jamming with Mikey, grinning at each other in a way Patrick thought he'd never see from them again after... everything. So perhaps he's a little distracted, doesn't hear Gerard's voice growing louder as he draws near, doesn't notice until he feels the solid press of a warm body behind him and a familiar chin hook over his shoulder.
sinuous_curve: Nrgh.
sinuous_curve: Bonus Pete/Mikey.
mandy_croyance: totally
sinuous_curve: *happy sigh*
mandy_croyance: And Patrick's used to being groped on stage - he's in a band with Pete Wentz, thanks very much - but Pete's never made him feel this electric, with every nerve tingling across the stretch of his skin, the joules of energy streaming in pulsing currents that rush along with the pounding blood in his veins. And it all seems to radiate, ripple outward from the spot where Gerard's hand is curled around his hip. Or maybe there's two focal points, because the skin of his neck is tingling too where Gerard's breath hits it with every word that passes through his lips

sinuous_curve: OH YES.
mandy_croyance: me = sciency geek obvs. Focal points and joules >.<
sinuous_curve: I love it.
mandy_croyance: And Patrick can pretend all he wants that it's the bright lights shining in his eyes and the roar of the crowd tripping him up, like he was still in high school and wet behind his ears, but the quirk of Joe's brow he catches just out of the corner of his eye, tells Patrick he's not fooling anyone else.
But then, he thinks, as Gerard skirts his hand along the rise of Patrick's jeans and the girls in the front row scream, maybe he doesn't really have to.



So um. Yes. *shuffles off to finish that exchange fic she's totally been dragging her heals on*
